Bloodroses is a San Francisco based band formed around two years ago. Playing the west coast with such music luminaries as Chuck Prophet, Dieselhed and Stone Fox, as well as taking part in the first annual San Francisco Gram Parsons Tribute show. This popular band is not sitting still and is presently finishing their second album.
Their members are made up of the alumnae of many notable San Francisco Bands. Michelle Muldrow, songwriter, vocalist and bassist, moved from Minneapolis to San Francisco, played in Interscope Records' Moth Macabre and Eyesore, with Michael Steele of the Bangles. Muldrow met up with Erik Meade, guitarist and vocalist. He has played in Penetration Moon, a Blag Dahlia project on Sympathy for the Record Industry, and San Francisco's own Jackson Saints. They formed Bloodroses from the ashes of Eyesore and teamed up with Tommy Rickard, drummer from Clarke Nova, and Ben "jacobs" on Hammond B-3, of Dean Del Ray. This collective of musical ideals is about creating music with vision.
